Hey, folks! We all made it through another week! I hope you have some interesting plans for the Memorial Day weekend. I know I do!
Here’s a rundown of what I did this week!
Books I read this week:
I read several books this week, and for once, I enjoyed all of them. One of them, even though I took a cute picture of it, had some really problematic aspects, but the others were just really good.
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Music I jammed to this week:
I’ve recently discovered the awesomeness that is Spotify. I know what you’re thinking – Spotify has been around for years, how are you just now using it? For most of my computering, I use a Macbook Pro that could use some repairs – a new processer and a couple new USB ports. Only one of them works, which is a pain. I love love love my laptop, but it just doesn’t run things as well as it should. So, whenever I tried to use Spotify on it, it froze and crashed, occasionally also crashing the computer. Now that I’m using a PC for my working needs, I tried Spotify again and loved it. These links will be Spotify links unless you guys tell me that it’s the worst ever.
The Summer Set’s “Stories For Monday” album
The “Afternoon Acoustic” playlist by Spotify
The “Productive Morning” playlist by Spotify
What are you guys’ favorite Spotify playlists for any occasion? I’d love to hear some more fun ones!
Things I wrote this week:
Don’t let ‘diplomas go to waste,’ Chatham grads told
Service authority finishes yearlong upgrades to water meters
William Pace announces run for Chatham Town Council
Franklin Turnpike road work uses different kind of treatment
Pittsylvania County director of agriculture development resigns
Officials sound alarm on woes with fire hydrants in Pittsylvania County
Now, next week I’ll have some more personal stuff included in my weekly wrap-up because I will have moved into my actual apartment. I can hear you, again -you guys talk loudly!- saying “But you just moved in! Why are you moving again?”
There was an apartment in the same complex opening up a month after I needed to be here, so we set up the lease to move into that one. It has a much more open layout and it feels much larger, so I’m very excited about it. We’ll be moving tomorrow morning, so you should have photos of everything by next week. 🙂
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
