This is Gideon! He’s my new betta fish, joining the snails and moss in what is currently harmony! I will probably be sharing stories and more pictures of him in the future, but I’m happy to have him with me! I’ve missed having a fish!
Congratulations to my friends Mikey and Coleen Bumgarner! They tied the knot yesterday at the Cashiers Community Center, and I’m so glad that I got to be there! More photos to come!
Will Bryant plays the fool masterfully as Monsieur Thenardier in WCU’s performance of Les Miserables. 4/3/14
Article [Click through!] by my friend Darian Jackson, photo by me! Kearney was a pleasure to listen to. He sounded just like he does on his albums, and he definitely did his research on what to use for his joke material with us. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert, despite unfortunate barrier-mates.

This guy is as yet unnamed, but he is my most recent rescue fish. When I got him from someone at school on Saturday, he was in a cracked .25 gallon bowl that was half filled with rocks. This guy has to have the worst genetics I’ve ever seen in a fish. As you might…
I’ve finally been able to get the stuff I need to start a properly planted aquarium, and once its time for another water change, I’ll be adding actual planted substrate (basically dirt with extra minerals packed in), and re-rooting all of the plants, as well as adding more. 🙂
Named after Tamora Pierce’s Trisana Chandler, Tris is a black female betta with red fins. Bought at my local fish store, Fish and More.
Somehow, every year when I go back to school, I manage to forget how expensive getting back to school is. There’s food to buy, books to buy, the inevitable forgotten thing, and then the things you didn’t realize you’d need. It adds up quite quickly, unfortunately. I also always forget how crazy busy you are…
This is my friend Devin’s leopard gecko, Behemoth, but we call her Beanie. She likes to pose for photographs. I like her.
I just loved the texture the water made over the rocks in whichever creek this was. I believe this was Wilson’s Creek as well, but it could also have been Upper Creek Falls
Wilson’s Creek, NC had the coldest water I set foot in during the entire vacation. Also the most snails.
Snuck a photo of Mom on the way home from my cousin’s graduation party. She’s notorious for not letting people take photos of her, so I’m really glad this turned out as well as it did!
