Remember Gideon?

I haven’t posted pictures in a while, because Gideon’s dark coloring makes it hard to get a good picture, but here’s Gideon, folks! Almost a year later, he’s doing really well and tormenting the baby ramshorn snails in the tank. You can see  the blurry outline of one of the smaller ones off to the…

Meet Gideon

This is Gideon! He’s my new betta fish, joining the snails and moss in what is currently harmony! I will probably be sharing stories and more pictures of him in the future, but I’m happy to have him with me! I’ve missed having a fish!

Life Update

You guys haven’t heard much from me since the end of the school year, so here’s what’s been going on. I got an internship! It’s with a health and wellness startup in Raleigh called Real Bites Small Talk. My boss has doing writing, learning marketing and some more awesome new things. We’re still working on getting the…

Unnamed Rescue Fish

All about my first week of school

I also always forget how crazy busy you are…

Nymeria

This is the first female betta I ever owned, named Nymeria. I bought her at Petsmart last November, and she’s a very nice fish. She is enjoying the re-arranged tank, now that I’m moved into my apartment at school.

Vortex

This poor fish has gone through hell and back. A boy in my brother’s class was doing a project on marine biology, and decided that for the required experiment to go along with the presentation, he would put two male bettas in the same cup and see how long it took for them to kill…

Celia

I bought Celia a few weeks ago to add to my 10 gallon sorority, and she’s fit in beautifully. I named her after Celia Foote from The Help. She’s a very sweet fish, and has a habit of hiding in the java moss like the snails.
