Today was my final day as the President of the Western Carolina University chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, and I’m both very proud of all of the things I’ve done over the last three years as a member of SPJ and very sad to see my time with this chapter ending.
My time with SPJ so far has been an absolutely amazing experience – I’ve gone to multiple conferences and met some awesome people that have helped me learn more about my profession and will continue to help me learn more even when I’m no longer in school.
Journalism has been called “the learning profession” and I’m really grateful for the opportunities that being a member of SPJ has given me, and I cannot wait to continue learning with my colleagues and classmates in the future!
I am positive that they will miss your amazing writing ability! Congratz on graduating soon and taking the experiences you’ve learned with you.
