Monday Mini-Reviews 3/30

These mini-reviews have been sitting, waiting to be written since December, so lets get to some of the great stories I’ve read! These are all romance stories of varying heat levels that you might just love!

A Season for Wishes – Lydia San Andres

I’ve loved every single story I’ve read by Lydia San Andres and this m/f short romance was no exception. It was short, sweet and enveloping in the best way. Even if you’ve never read any of the other stories in this historical universe, I think it is accessible. It was delightfully Christmas-y and sweet with a for sure happily ever after. I highly recommend it!

No Room at the Inn – Brooke Winters

Brooke Winters and I are mutuals on Twitter, and when I heard she was publishing f/f erotic romance, I knew I had to read it. It is very high heat, very kinky and very good. Emma and Sylvia are great main characters, and I loved how Emma’s autism was worked into the story. I’d say read the content warnings before going into it if you have any kink-related triggers because this takes place in an erotic hotel that we’ll be seeing more of in future stories from Winters. I highly recommend this great

Mangos & Mistletoe – Adriana Herrera

If you love The Great British Bake Off or the Food Network’s holiday baking shows, this f/f novella will be entirely up your alley. You can probably tell from the title that this is Christmas-focused and it is amazing. Both of the main characters are from the Dominican Republic, but they have very different relationships with their heritage. It is very sexy and there’s a lot of conflict in this romance that ends in an HEA. It also has delicious food descriptions that will have you salivating – and wanting to bake even more than you already do!

Tikka Chance on Me – Suleikha Snyder

This fantastic novella is an m/f romance that lived on my kindle unread for far too long. Once you start reading this sexy romance, you won’t be able to stop. The hero, Trucker is based on Chris Evans as Captain America as an undercover agent trying to take down a horrible gang in the hometown he hates. Pinky, on the other hand, is a good girl who is secretly salivating over the assumed gang member that spends a great deal of time at her parents’ Indian restaurant. When they actually talk and figure out more about the other person, it quickly becomes funny, smutty and wonderful. It’s got a great happy for now ending that will leave you thrilled. I highly recommend it.

Layover – Katrina Jackson

This is a more recent read for me and was one I desperately needed. This m/f Black romance is short and emotionally sweet with a beautiful discussion of returning home after the loss of a parent and how that grief affects you in ways you won’t notice. It’s also a little bit sexy in a great way with a Happy For Now ending. I loved everything about this story and see myself going back to read it as a comfort read later on.
