You guys haven’t heard much from me since the end of the school year, so here’s what’s been going on.
I got an internship! It’s with a health and wellness startup in Raleigh called Real Bites Small Talk. My boss has doing writing, learning marketing and some more awesome new things. We’re still working on getting the website put together the way we want it to be, so be aware that it’s a work in progress, but I love my work there so far. I have also been working at my friendly neighborhood Kroger, and still design the newspaper, so I miss having real days off, but the money is nice, and hopefully I’ll be able to actually buy a car for myself in the next couple of months before school starts. It’s been difficult finding time to actually
My brother also graduated from high school, and has been to orientation at WCU. My mom is back to work in a few days, and my sister is doing some freelance design work! So basically, we’re all really busy here, which has its positives and its negatives, of course. I sort of miss the days where I wasn’t working constantly, but I’m getting great experience, making more than enough money to survive, and I’m actually going to graduate on time in May, so I can’t complain too much about life.
In more fun news, I just set up a mystery snail tank out of an old “fish”bowl that holds about 4 gallons of water, and I’ve got plants in the mail coming to fill out the tank, and I’m really excited about it.
If anyone in the area wants a new fish tank, I’ve got two 10 gallons going spare, and one 5 gallon, all of which need to find new homes. Fishkeeping is a great, but expensive hobby, if you’re doing it right. Anyway, the snails seem excited about their new space, and I’m excited to have them. You’ll probably get more photos of them, and my other animals, in the near future. I hope to also be sharing some content from RBST soon, since I’ll be running the blog there.
I hope you’re all having a great summer, and I’ll check in with you again soon!
