February 2020 Wrap Up

February may have been a shorter month than most of the others, but I packed it full of so. much. As I mentioned in last month’s wrap up, I got a job! I started in early February and between the commute and the strangeness of working outside of the house for the first time in almost 2 years, I had very little energy for much in the way of blogging.

You will notice that my reading shot up. This is mostly due to the fact that I am allowed to listen to music or audiobooks while I work and during my commute. Most of the time, I choose audiobooks. So if you’ve got audio recs for me, I am more than open to them!

I also finished writing AND PUBLISHED a book, which I published under my pen name. I’m thrilled to have Mrs. Mix Up out in the world, and you are welcome to check it out if you are not my parents. Mom, Dad, my policy still stands – no reading any of my work with sex scenes. It’ll just embarrass us all.

Books I Read:

This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone | The Pretty One by Keah Brown | Shadowshaper: Legacy by Daniel Jose Older | The AI Who Loved Me by Alyssa Cole | Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor | A Taste of Her Own Medicine by Tasha L. Harrison | A Cowboy to Remember by Rebekah Witherspoon | Hexarchate Stories by Yoon Ha Lee | All Mine by Savannah J. Frierson | Moontangled by Stephanie Burgis | Out on Good Behavior by Dahlia Adler | We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal | The Right Swipe by Alisha Rai | Beyond Shame by Kit Rocha |

  1. You are such a star, as always!! Congrats on the new job, and I’m delighted for you that it’s going well. It’s always the loveliest feeling when your schedule changes such that you have MORE time to read — too often it goes the other way!
