Blogging Resources: Tools for Promotion

I have been blogging for a very long time. As a result of my time in the digital trenches here, I’ve gotten pretty good at promoting my work to my audience. So, I thought I would share some of those that I use to help me to promote the posts we all work so hard on!

Buffer

This is what I personally use scheduling tweets, Facebook posts and instagram posts. In the free version, you can have up to three social networks with ten posts scheduled on each at a time.

I really like this one because it looks at the times when your accounts get the most interaction and allows you to schedule posts for those specific times. It’s done wonders for my traffic.

Hootsuite

HootSuite is another option to do something similar to what Buffer does, but it does things a little bit differently. I personally find the UI on this hellacious, but I know a lot of other people love it, so choose what works for you!

Canva

This is a great tool for creating graphics for your posts and for social media It’s mostly free and will be super helpful! You can even create templates for yourself to work from!

Adobe Spark

Adobe’s got a few more options than Canva does, but has a little bit more of a learning curve. It’s particularly great for converting items from one size to another for various social media platforms.

Blog Link Ups

This one I can’t link to because it’s going to be specific to your particular blogging niche, but if you google ” ‘your blogging niche’ link up” you should be able to find some blogs that regularly offer people a place to link their posts up. Click through and comment on some posts you find interesting, and post your own link! This is a great way to make new blogger friends and to bring new people to your blog! It also helps your blog’s SEO by having high quality backlinks on other sites!

Is there a topic you’d like me to talk about? Tell me about it in the comments! Check out the other blogging resources posts here!
